A place in the FA Trophy quarter-finals is the prize for Ebbsfleet United and Dartford if they can win their third round ties on Saturday.
Of the pair, the Darts look to have the more straightforward task. Tony Burman’s men are in terrific form, scoring 25 goals in their last six games in all competitions and will be hot favourites to progress against Wealdstone, who play one tier below in the Ryman Premier Division.
Ebbsfleet United are the underdogs in their all-Conference Premier tie with York City. Liam Daish’s side have lost twice already to the Minstermen this season, most recently losing 3-2 at Bootham Crescent a fortnight ago.
With Dartford in cup action, Welling United can draw level on points with their Kent rivals in the Conference South’s top three if they win at struggling Staines Town. Harry Baker, signed from Dover Athletic, and goalkeeper Yimaz Aksoy, from Leyton Orient, are in line to make their debuts.
Dover are also away to one of the division’s bottom three, Hampton & Richmond Borough, as they look to extend their unbeaten run to eight games. Tonbridge Angels take on Boreham Wood in a mid-table clash at Longmead, while after claiming a long overdue win last week Bromley will look to build on the momentum when Havant & Waterlooville visit Hayes Lane.
Margate’s good recent run in the Ryman Premier has been tempered this week by defeats to Carshalton Athletic and Leatherhead. The Blues visit Kingstonian, while Cray Wanderers host title hopefuls Lowestoft Town on Sunday.
Folkestone Invicta’s players will pay half the admission fee for supporters watching their clash with Walton Casuals as an apology for the 4-0 defeat to Merstham last week. Maidstone United leapfrogged the Seasiders in Ryman Division One South’s top five last weekend but will be suitably wary of taking Merstham for granted.
Ramsgate host title contenders Dulwich Hamlet, while Sittingbourne and Whitstable Town will be keen to use home advantage to ease clear of the bottom two when Corinthian-Casuals and Godlaming Town visit respectively.
Faversham Town will fancy their chances of taking all three points from struggling Burgess Hill Town, but Chatham Town face a tough test in Ryman Division One North when they visit high-flying Enfield Town.
Herne Bay lost their unbeaten record in the Kent League last weekend and Tunbridge Wells are next in line to take a shot at the runaway leaders.
