Kat Driscoll the only member of the Team GB gymnastics squad to compete in the trampoline event
Kat Driscoll’s place in the Team GB gymnastics squad has been confirmed as expected.
The 26-year-old who was born in Chatham is the only member of the 18 strong team to compete in the trampoline event.
Driscoll who is Great Britain’s number one in the sport won the North West Gala trial event in early June to all but confirm that her name would be on the list,
She is one of 18 members to have been selected in the squad announced today.
She said: “It has been a long selection process for trampoline, so to be able to come out on top and be named part of Team GB is an incredible feeling and a huge honour.
“I’ve dreamt of competing at an Olympic games since I was a child and continually told my Dad that I would be there one day as part of Team GB.
