Footprints in the snow lead police to suspect
Printable version Email to a friend Share this story Add your comment Contact us
Police officers traced footprints left in the snow to catch up with a suspected burglar this morning (Monday, January 4).

They followed footprints leading from the scene of a break-in at the Dane Valley Pharmacy in Upper Dane Road, Margate.

Officers were called at 1.50am, with the snow on the ground making the prints easy to see.

A 38-year-old man was stopped in St Peter’s Road at about 2.15am and arrested.

Cosmetics were taken from the pharmacy but recovered from the nearby Millmead allotments.

The suspect was being held in police custody at Margate police station.
